About hall interior design
A hall reads as finished when the ceiling, the lighting and one feature wall work together. Spending on all four walls rarely improves it. We usually recommend one strong element — the TV wall or the dining wall — and restraint elsewhere, which also leaves budget for the rooms people actually spend time in.

Hall Interior Design — questions
Should every wall in the hall be done?
No. One feature wall plus a good ceiling and lighting reads as a finished room. Treating all four walls costs several times more and usually makes the space feel smaller and busier.
What is the most cost-effective change?
Lighting. Replacing a single central fitting with a cove plus a few accent points changes a hall more than any amount of panelling, and it is a fraction of the cost.
