How we work
SpaceCrafta is a design and build team based in Mumbai. We cover interiors, false ceiling, wardrobes, modular kitchens, architecture, renovation, waterproofing, painting and electrical work — under one project manager rather than five separate vendors blaming each other.
The reason we group those trades is sequencing. Most of what goes wrong on a residential project goes wrong at the handover between trades: the electrician who was not told where the ceiling cove lands, the carpenter who arrives before the plumbing is tested. Keeping them under one scope is the only reliable way to fix that.
What we do differently
We survey before we quote. That means measuring every wall, checking plumb, mapping the existing electrical points, and on older flats opening up a wet-area wall and an electrical point so we are pricing against what is actually there rather than against a floor plan.
We name every material in the quotation — carcass grade, board thickness, hardware brand, paint grade, wire gauge. If a quotation does not state those, the specification can quietly change after you sign, and usually does.
We tell you when you need less than you came for. We have advised clients to spend two lakh instead of fifteen, and to replace their plumbing instead of their kitchen. The free site visit exists so you can get an honest read before committing to anything.
What we will not do
We will not quote without seeing the site. We will not give a rate-card number over the phone for work we have not inspected, because that number is a guess that becomes your problem on day four.
We will not paint over an undiagnosed damp patch, waterproof a terrace without finding the source first, or install a modular kitchen with an unnamed carcass. Those are the three shortcuts that generate most of the repeat work in this industry.
