Working on modular kitchen in Pune
We take selected projects in Pune, usually full-home interiors where the scope justifies the travel. Pune's climate is considerably drier than Mumbai's, which changes the specification — BWR is adequate in most positions where we would insist on BWP in Mumbai, and exterior coatings last meaningfully longer. We are honest about scheduling: site visits are weekly rather than daily.
Carcasses are 18 mm BWP 710 marine-grade plywood throughout, with the base units under the sink additionally sealed on the inside face. All edges are banded, including the back. Hardware is Hettich or Hafele with soft-close on every drawer and hinge. Counters are 20 mm quartz with the sink cut-out finished and polished on site, and a 100 mm upstand so water at the back of the counter has nowhere to run. The plumbing and the electrical points are set out from the appliance list before any carcass is cut.
Specification for Pune projects
Keeping your existing counter is often sensible
If your granite counter is sound and the layout is not changing, we can replace the carcasses and shutters underneath and reuse it. That removes a meaningful cost and a week of lead time. The counter has to come out and go back, so there is some risk of a chip at the edge — we will tell you honestly whether yours will survive the lift based on its thickness and condition.
